After 6 weeks of scaffolding, render, workmen and paint, today, bank holiday Monday has been the first proper day we’ve been able to get into the garden to make it look half decent again. I gather the rest of the week is meant to be a bit on the wet side. Chez’s mom, the green fingered one in her family has done a wonderful job of planting a load of bedding plants in a load of pots. Not being green fingered myself, I just concreted around the washing line pole, painted underneath the patio doors as that was the only place on the whole façade that was still the original colour, and sorted the garden stores out.
Compared to just a couple of weeks ago, the back garden has been transformed today. A couple of trips to the tip tomorrow or Wednesday and a bit of tidying up will do until will pull out the garden stores again to replace and then paint the other 2 fence panels, but well chuffed. All we need the workmen to do is to remove the paint and render marks from the front upper windows but other than this, the job is done
