Our new (second hand) Toyota RAV4, bought today from Tamworth. We’ve upgraded from an 03 registered Vauxhall Vectra to a 54 registered RAV4. We need to get the personalised plate moved over as, whilst the car dealer has the Vectra now, we still have the log book to be able to do the transfer on Monday. As soon as the transfer is complete, he gets the log book and the new tax disk (and if I can find the old plates he can have those too). Its a nice car to drive – just done 40+ miles back from Tamworth. Decent boot space, and the back seats slide forward like the front do so it gives extra space in the boot. They even then fold up so it almost then becomes a 2 seater estate car in terms of space in the back – and the boot opens like a door not a hatchback. I probably need to get some parking sensors fitted as I got used to having those on the Vectra. Its actually a bit shorter than the Vectra but obviously the extra height makes it more imposing, however with my stomach problems it makes it much easier to get in and out of the vehicle without problems, and of course living at the top of a road which is rarely gritted in the snow should make things easier. For several years its been impossible to get round the corner at the top of the hill in the Vectra with ice on the road. Even in the little pug last year, Ant and 3 of his mates had to push the car the last bit home!
