After nearly 3 weeks of scaffolding, we’ve had the pink stage of the insulation blocks, the brown stage of the render and now we are starting to get to the yellow stage of the final paint job. Hopefully either tomorrow (Friday) or Monday will be the front and back of the house painted and then its just the alarm, external lights, satellite dish, fence panel replacement, back gate repositioning and any snag items that are found which hopefully will happen during the course of next week. The supervisor has indicated that the scaffolding should come down during next week and hopefully then we are back to normal.
The improvements bring all the houses up to the environmental code for heat loss in houses and so not only have we had about £10k of work done to the house and at least that on the value of the house but also makes it easier to sell at some point in the future because it now meets the current codes.
