Its finally happened.
I’m in that significant statistical group called the “over 40’s”
The first advert I saw this morning related to bowel and bladder problems and started “Are you over 40?”. Drat, they’ve heard.
Many will know that when I was 25 I didnt think I’d get to 30 and now look at me, I’m 40, Ive just got married to a wonderful woman and things couldnt be better. Don’t want to pop my clogs now – even with this flu.
We popped out to the local pub tonight – feeling well enough to leave the house for nearly the first time in 3 weeks and had a meal with my parents and my brothers family,and was presented with this cake. Yes it’s me. When I had slightly more hair, slightly rosier cheeks and much better fashion sense 🙂 (last week – before I hit 40 !!!)
Ive had a wonderful day. Don’t normally take the day off work but given the recent illness, another day wasnt going to make much difference, so other than checking a few emails, Ive had a restful-ish day – allthough still not well enough for the xbox 🙁
