Technically the kitchen is now about 95% done. its all done bar a final bit of painting, putting the whiteboard back up, moving the clock and putting up the kitchen blind.
Due to my ongoing issues with not having a decent mobile phone, Ive not been able to grab a 95% completed video shot yet but Ive finally put together the before during and nearly finished bits, before uploading the final images later.
Firstly, what it was like beforehand. “It looks fine” you may say but the same kitchen cupboards for 20 years – Ive been here for 16 and the guy before me was here for 4 and he said he hadnt changed anything. Worktops got changed 7 or 8 years ago, a lick of paint and the tiles were put on – all thanks to my excellent outlaws – my old in-laws (bro and sis) are now my outlaws (after divorce several years ago) cos I have a wonderful niece and Pete and Di (and Megan) are top banana.
After hacking it apart there wasnt much left after the first evening…
Now we are really starting to see things come together. Floor and drawer unit to go, plus tiling grouting and cooker hood etc, but now really starting to look like a kitchen again
