Back to Blackberry? My decisions take a u turn…

The LG 750 that vodafone sent me was naff – the machine said it couldnt get an internet connection to go online yet at the same time it was telling me that I’d had emails received and I was on MSN messenger at the same time – amazing how those can be done without internet connections!

If I can say anything about the first ever WinMo 6.5 device I’ve seen, thats “dont go down the windows mobile 6.5 route”. Why do you need lots of different pre-installed mp3 players? LG’s own, Microsofts own (and if I looked I might even see Vodafones own). Surely someone could say “regardless of the notion of giving the user the option to choose their preferred playback method, lets give them a fast machine which doesnt have 3 versions of everything installed and if the user really wants to get a different version then allow them to?

I could wait until the iPhone comes out with Voda in January but based on o2 charging £200 connection fee before the £35 a month, thats out of my price bracket if Vodafone do the same

While in the Voda shop on Saturday I caught a glimpse of the Blackberry Bold 9700 to be released this week. It basically seems to be the Storm 2 but without the touch screen. Given that the touch screen caused most of my problems with the Storm 2, I reckon the Bold 9700 might be the one for me !! Its a slightly smaller screen width wise, and quite a bit shorter length wise because it has a full qwerty keyboard on view. I actually liked the storm 2 – what I found naff was the constant problems but with the touch screen removed, it could be a goer…
