About Me

I am Tony Byng, a mid (ok late) 40’s chap who likes Tech. I picked up the name Rodders after being drunk one night on an ICQ chat session (many will be too young to know what that actually is!) and when a friend asked to speak to the “main man”, I referred to myself as the “drain man” and “Dynorodney” was born

Christmas

After my recent near death experience being very close to electrocuting myself, my sister in law (Nicola Jones) has taken to calling me “sparky”. Just to rub it in, she decided that the best way to emphasize what a dead numpty I could have been was to limit my access to electrical tools from now […]

The size of progress

After finding an old digital camera today, I smiled at the size of the 8MB memory card that was inside it and then headed to the shelf to get some comparisons 😉 Behold a 1.4MB floppy disk, the 8MB camera card, a 64MB card and a 4 GB card. The right hand unit holding over […]

Low flying aircraft

The picture below is of a plane which is not zoomed in. It flew over the house at around 5pm tonight – talk about flying low … how to stop spam email

Bedroom revamp

Still got a few bits left to do – amongst others, filling in the blackened hole which nearly killed me earlier… however looking pretty good from a distance anyway 🙂

Nearly killed myself today…

Because the crazy paving […]

The Byng, Chillin

Was feeling a bit stressed today so Simon, our graphics bod and a good friend decided to put a smile on my face and sent me this. Top man … although I can’t remember anyone with a camera when I was in rock mode the other week 😉

Digging the patio without burying a body

After having had some leaks into the garage over the last 6 months (especially during April to June when it rained solidly) it was determined by my father in law that the likely cause was water getting under the crazy paving patio, getting into some soil underneath and then ingressing between the join of the […]

Who needs the Olympics?

Lewis picked up 3 gold medals on Saturday at 60m, 150m and long jump over at the Telford Games. 2012 really is a bumper year for athletics golds!  Well Done Lewis !

Lewis Byng tipped for the Olympics

My nephew, Lewis  is a top kid. Battling through health problems (not unlike me as a child) he has headed for sport, or more specifically athletics as his focus (whereas I went with computers). Every time I see him he tells me about the medals he’s won, or his dad (my brother) tells me he’s […]
