After a week of rain, the patio couldn’t be finished last Monday and so it was scheduled for today. Not a particularly warm day but dry, and this afternoon it did warm up a bit compared with 9am this morning.
The only job to do today primarily was finish the concreting. Because the crazy paving was broken up last weekend we had to straighten the edge so that the pebbles would look rectangular rather than all jagged
When the concreting was finally finished, we put the shingle in after a couple of hours as this would help protect the concrete from any frost. The only job left to do now (because the slab has been re-set) is remove the wood that was holding the one set of concrete back and the job is done and the shed can fully move back into the corner once everything is set. I’m not a big DIY person unless the D stands for destroy, but the job would never have been completed if it wasn’t for my 13 year old nephew Luke. He did a lot of the smashing, a lot of the concreting and had no problems in getting the broom at the end to tidy up. Thanks mate.
