No-nads Murphy

I'll show you my belly now ...

What a week.

Murphy has settled in amazingly – its like he has been here forever

We agreed  on Tuesday  that Amy had got on okay with Murphy, booked an appointment on Tuesday at the Vets to get the  injections sorted as we had no vaccinations card and so couldnt guarantee what he had had or when and in the process, wanted to book an appointment to have him microchipped and have his nads off, as responsible owners.

By good fortune the vets had a slot the following day, so Wednesday, his voice went falsetto and his chariot was no longer swinging low….  I was rude in calling him No-Nads Murphy, but it seemed appropriate on the day 🙂 It was either that or Murphy No’toole

Murphy has become Murph and he is now pappa’s murph (pappa smurf) – just need  blue fur and a white hat (you have to be a certain age to understand that one !).  Have to admit, I was uncertain on Tuesday.

I'm knackered now after my three mile walk ....

Ive only ever had small dogs, and compared with even Wootton, Murphy is “big”, however, every morning he greets me and I stayed downstairs until 1am on Thursday morning after his op on Wednesday to make sure he was okay and I have to say he is lovely. He just needs a bit of socialising – getting used to other dogs so he doesn’t go mental when one comes nearby wanting to play ( a week of relatively  sedate walking after the op means he cant be off the lead) , and needs a bit more training but those are fixable things – he seems to have a great nature and I can honestly say that after only 5 nights with him, he feels like part of the family
